I thank everyone for their good props. Its very much appreciated. I have ONLY posted this plugin here on this site as one way I can give back to those who have provided me with so many patterns, so much help and fantastic tips. That is why I have only posted it here, its not even on my own site.
If you like this board and its people, consider a subscription here. It, as you might have guessed, is not and never was meant to be an instant pattern maker. I meant it to be simply another tool you can use to make patterns. No matter how good software gets, you can't take the artist out of the process but you can give that artist a better brush.
In most programs, the posterize effect has very few, if any, controls other than number of colors. Thats why this plugin started and has center and width slider set as well as a color set to control the posterize filter.
Also, in most programs, there isn't a good brightness/contrast control filter, this is why this filter has a 6 band brightness "equalizer". You can boost or reduce any of the 6 bands to achieve a pretty wide range of adjustment possibilities.
The sample blur is pretty simple (gaussean blur) and nothing special but its here.
And the last "feature" is all three filtering options (blur, equalizer, and poserizer) are on a single control panel for you to play with. This should help eliminate some of the do/undo cycles as you can adjust things all in one place and get a pretty good idea of how they interact with each other.
